Hello

I tried to post this info for you on the klt site but it wouldn't work so here it is.

Krylon "dull aluminum" or "bright silver" both with semi gloss clear lacquer by verathane from home depot in the paint department or the paint below. I posted that for everyone a few weeks ago but only one guy cared about it.

OEM MOTORCYCLE PAINTS

I just recently posted the following info for member kevink and thought it might benefit others searching for the same thing. One of two colors listed below “should” be the original color for 75% of all silver color Kawi frames. After almost 30 years of paint formula changes caused by increasingly stringent EPA regulations, none of the paint available today will exactly match any OEM paint that is more than around 4 years old.

If you own a bike other than one made by the mfg of the fastest production bikes cube for cube in the world then please disregard this post. The paint mfg listed below does not carry any RED paint nor any other color for your bike so please do NOT go looking for any there, they just ran out, it has been discontinued, the part of the plant that made that color recently burned down… Well maybe they might have some.

Available in different size containers and also spray cans.

This is a kawi frame paint but I think it is slightly brighter than the orig which I think is gentry gray. Both colors available from colorrite.com see bottom of page. I would use this one because it is a little flashier. Both are ultra fine metallic silver as original.

The links don't seem to work. Is it paint that you're showing? maybe there can be other alternatives such as powdercoat even though it won't bea spot on color. I've attached a link but I don't think the colors are quite the same.

Hello oeduardo

How is your steering head angle project coming?

Hard to find a close match in powder coat but how close does it really need to be?

All the links for me except the last one which is not needed, might not work on phone line or ie and chrome browsers. I have firefox.

The links show actual color on bikes.

Hello oeduardo

Here's a much better photo of Flame Silver, you must click on the blue line, you can not cut and paste it. The 3ww site auto shortens some links.

Hey how's it going. My project is dead stuck. I haven't been able to acquire anything. Life is so hectic and just at the moment. I have standardized testing at my school, ap exams next week, finals the week after, scholarship deadlines. It's crazy but thanks for asking.

Gotcha links worked. Thank you, I was just trying to post alternatives and see if anyone preferred powder coat. Maybe it's not suited for a 100% OEM restoration but for the average racer I would go with powder coat on a lot of items (ie. Frame, cases, rims, etc.)

Hello odeuardo

Oh I think most here know about powdercoat by now but you never know. I definitely like it for some applications.applications.

Good luck with school.
