Hello
Just curious is there some reason you don't want to use theirs?
Google search is your friend.
Click on the link below, this should keep you busy for a while. Click on the skid plate title and it will say what it fits.

Hello
Yeah phone doesn't always work well. There's 30 different mfg's and styles listed. You have to click on each one to see what it fits.

I’ve been kicking around the idea of buying a second stocker and welding some additional tubes and a plate to it. I haven’t even gotten up the ambition to buy the second part yet, so I’ll be interested to know what you come up with.

It's just the finishing touches, I want it nice and simple - bolt on & really shiney!

Just talked to OMF they said no problem, 1-2 week manufacturing time. Cost is $124.95 for swing arm guard or engine guard, they offer both. Guy said there are a few options for engine guard based on what type of exhaust you are running.

You could make up something like Tecate Dan built for his 500 project. I'm pretty sure it can withstand a small IED blast should the need arise.

Haha I might show you a video of my manufacturing skills and then you'll know I don't stand a chance of making anything bomb proof

I've been in touch with a nice geezer called mr Bones at OMF & he gave me those same prices but the problem is he also wants $35 wire transfer fee because I'm in the UK!
I think I've just had my pants pulled down...
Jeff made his own, then found out OMF actually makes the engine skidplate for the Z also.

@mosh. I followed that build that's why I'm after the skid plates, looked the buisiness.
Well I just got an email of my pal Mr Bones @ OMF & he's quoting me $297 shipping to the uk!
I just can't afford to pay more for the shipping than the cost of the two plates I want. Any ideas?

Do you have a photo of the KTM plate? Do you know if it is from a 2 stroke or 4? There are only a couple frames they have used over the years so it should be easy to match up and the price would be a lot lower.

A few minutes after Raffa posted the link on here I ordered and soon received an orange anodized Ricochet skid plate for a YZ490. Unfortunately it took me till tonight to bolt it on. In the end I decided not to use the third supplied clamp as it didn’t quite fit as nice as I would have liked where the 45 degree tube braces the cradle. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with the welding I did in that area, or if everyone will have the same issue. It could have held, but it would not have been a good fit. Instead I ended up drilling a hole in line with one of the original holes near the oil drain plug and that was all it took to fit perfectly. It’s a lot easier to put one of these on a trike than it is a bike. Also added safety wire top the drain bung for good measure.
