Hi Guys,
attached is some pics of a 86 250r we are restoring in our shop. it is being built from the ground up using all new old stock parts that we have been collecting for years now. we have already bead blasted and painted the frame usong Dupont chroma base system with 3 coats of clear color matched from factory frame, the engine is all rebuilt and is rested in the frame, the front end is on with the new front forks and triple clamps, we even have all the warning labels etc, we will send some more pics as it progresses also we are starting a 86 200X that will be very cool we are working with a fabricator to design a titanium removable sub frame like on the motocross bikes as well as a titanium exhaust pipe this guy is very good will send some pics of that too.

The black triple clamp is original and how they come on an 86. I took the black off of mine because I didn't like the way it looked. I'm also going to be looking at restoring trikes for people starting late spring. Either original or custom colors. You all know what kind of work I do from seeing mine. I'll be updating the pics of mine in about 2 months. Currently the motor is tore down and esr is doing a port job on the 310 kit I recently bought. I plan on color matching the motor with my bike and doing some polishing. I also am adding the mugen front forks to my trike soon. Can't decide if I want to leave them original gold or take the gold paint off and polish them...oh well.

just a response to the question on the engine, the color is a charcoal grey color matched from the original the picture makes it look darker than it is. evrything on this bike is just how it would have come off the showroom floor back in 86. and the triple clamps are N.O.S from honda they did come black just on the upper clamps from honda in 86 only 85 was polished. I will send more pics as it comes together
