I have a 90 that I built with a stroked crank, big bore kit, Hi performance cam, new valves, and HD valve springs. The trouble I am having is with the timing. The lobe on the advance weights that opens the points is 180 out at at the top of the compression stroke. Both valves are closed and I can wiggle the rockers. The points dont open till it is at the bottom of the power stroke when the exhaust valve is starting to open.

I am having a WTF moment here. Can i just rotate the points plate 180?

I searched the past posts on it but came up with nothing. I had to get away from it for a minute. Trying to get this thing going in case for some reason I am able to go to trikefest at the very last minute.

Someone installed the lobe 180 degrees out ??? Just pull it out of the advancer housing and install it on time . The advancer unit comes apart . Line the dots up on the advancer frame to the lobe .
