Hey guys, I am rebuilding the Tri Z and am wanting to run a pwk39 carb. In the end the plan is to build a Klemm 341cc Big bore for it. My questions is the PO switched to a twist throttle so I don't have a thumb throttle set up. I have read hear on the boards that the best throttle cable to use is off an 83 250r. What thumb throttle assembly should I be looking for? I prefer a banshee or something Yamaha but have read you have to run an 86 Z cable. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you have the budget, just get an aftermarket one from Moose Racing. I just put one on with a 38mm PJ and there is plenty of throw left. Works very nice.

a banshee throttle assy (or any aftermarket throttle assy) will work fine. I run a banshee throttle cable, made for the 2-1 intakes. Its made to open a single 39mm keihin carb, and they are readily available from most aftermarket suppliers. :naughty:

Thank you for the info. Banshee it is, I think I may pick up an aftermarket billet one. I appreciate it.
