So I bought an angled NGK sparkplug cap for my R (because it had a short coil wire it helps in length)
- BUT the terminal is the screw type end.(terminal stud removed on plug).. I know most Atv watercraft
etc. use the solid type plug ( non removable terminal). I know the solid is highly recommended & OEM
-but why? Does the non-solid type plug/cap cause some issue? (I dont see it coming off on its own or
vibrating off or from bumps) unless its old & worn out. So Im wondering if its so important?:wondering

I just replace the atc 250r coil for a trx and cut it to length for a better fit and as for the cap im not real sure but I think that style cap makes a larger better connection for 2 strokes since they fire on every stroke and vibrate .
just ben

they work fine. one advantage of the solid type is you can use either type of plug.

All I got 4 sale is the 185s frame/PK swinger-needs bushings made, frame not rotted. The fiberglass fenders too(front one repairable) rear is great shape no cracks chunks missing.
And have few more minor misc. crap if you want to have for free. Sold my other 185s...Keepn the R no matter what.
