hi I just signed up on here to further my new obsession.
I have just purchaced a 84 or 85 225 DR from craigslist very cheep and it needs lots of tlc. first things first the previous owner says it has a bent valve so I went ahead an got another head completely assembled very nice piece. now I have never been into a small engine like this but im more than willing to learn how to rebuild these engines and maybe get into Hondas and kawasakis too. with that said, I want to freshen up this motor completely then continue through the chassis then the plastics. Where is a good starting point on the engine (manuals, websites, people) that would be a good a good reference so I don't end up with another bent valve or junk. Im trying to keep this out of the junk category and prove my Honda and Kawasaki friends wrong!
