When you install, litely grease the areas the bearings slip into. Get a propane torch and warm up the carrier. This is after the bearings have been in the freezer for about an hour or so. They will slip rite in with little to no effort at all. Then just slip in the dust seals. Dont forget the spacer in the middle of the carrier between the bearings.

If your carrier is that nad I think you should be checking the seal races on your sprocket hub, and the disc brake hub. Otherwise I'd bet you'll be replacing the carrier bearings often.
I've got an 86 Carrier than needs bearings if you want.
Good luck!

Yeah I guess this is not looking good....I was wondering about the seal races on both the sprocket and brake myself.....it also has a durablue axel so not sure the sprocket one is stock....

Well got out there today and cleaned the grease off of things and there is no need to post up pics....the race areas are chewed up to bad for any type of seal to last....I have access to a lathe and could clean them up but they would be undersized for sure and would not seal very well....

If you find a TRX 250X or 300EX carrier local, that will go in a 86 350X. Going new is of course best. IF,you end up putting bearings in a used one you find. make SURE the center pipe is to spec, which it won't be.. Another good reason for going new..
