Took a quick family snap shot before I split em up. I just gave my 84 125m to my older brother for his birthday. Birthday isn't til the 13th, but I figured it would give him a chance to tinker with it. I couldn't justify keeping it now that I have my Auto-X and the spare with quad kit.

What do you mean? The quad conversion on the 84? I just picked it up that way. And the chopped fenders were on the 85 when I got it.
I got the 85 a week ago and the 84 two days ago...

Seems like you gave your only "real" 3 wheeler away, in my opinion.
What's with the "auto"200x? I owned an '85, and it was manual. All I can say
about the quad conversion is "ewwwww". Sorry, no hard feelings.

The 125m still needed engine work. Broken shift drum stopper boss. I gave him the spare motor that needed head work. He can swap or find a welder.
The 85 Auto-X is a beautiful machine. I don't care for clutched motors on trails or the woods. It has an extended swinger too. The 84 conversion I picked up for the fenders and 200x top end. The rest was a bonus for spare parts. I may or may not build it up. I may or may not sell the conversion kit. I imagine it's probably a semi-rare piece. I got both machines in a week's time for a total of $200. I'd say I did pretty good.
Part of my reason for giving up the 125m is that my father just got into trail riding with my mom on his Honda quad. I figured it was something we could do as a family.

Ok, understood. I've always liked both, but only on the right machines. When i think sport, i think manual. When it's a utility, i
think automatic. Just my opinion.

I'd say you did very well also! :w00t:

You can never go wrong including the family! Nice. :)
Anyway, good luck on your toys!

. What's with the "auto"200x? @ SreaminRed. I am betting you are either new to trikes altogether or just new to the trike community. ALOT of people swap out the x engine for either a 200s or 185s engine. This is because they want the comfortable ride of the x, but as an auto, because its easier on the trails and for whatever other reasons. This is actually quite common.

I believe my Auto-X actually has just the plain 82 ATC200 motor. No S for me. Large amount of compression and plenty of power.
Only issue I have is the carb I can't get adjusted right. Trying different float and float valve. I'm almost going to guess the valve seat is worn.

Fixed the carb yesterday. She hauls pretty good!
I need to put a stiffer rear shock on, or the one I have needs to be re charged. Deffeinately a fun ride either way!

The auto X's are great! I would never swap my 84 after all the work, but our 85 auto x is probably just a little slower than a stock 200X. Still rips pretty good in the woods
