Came in to a slowwww computer this AM... Started cleaning up my desktop and came across a couple of photos I thought I'd share.
I don't think I've ever posted these... And YES, the 1973 ATC 70 does reside inside my house, in the bsmnt rec room!
Both are VMS restorations.

Extrordinary museum pieces you have there..
I'd never want to own machines that clean, it would make me crazy to want to rub the new off them.
Is the stand under the 200X a custom thing or did you buy it? If so where?

Maybe not really the place, but looking at the most perfect specimen I've ever seen kinda reminded me..
How could Honda put so much thought into the restyle of the 87 200X then steal the headlamp assy from the 85 250SX??..they must have had some leftover stock. It just sticks out like a sore thumb on such a beautifully crafted machine.
Just saying!

are you talking about the entire plastic assembly or the glass , the plastic is totally different from an 85 250sx the 86-87 200x are the only models that use this headlight plastic , the glass may be the same but honda did that with tons of models

Referring more to the styling of the assy, not necessarily that it has the same part number..seems a design ripoff of their earlier machine,so unoriginal..
Something in white with a kinda 350x feel would've had a real 'blam' finish on the trike! Even if they had finished that one in white would have been cool!

Absolutely beautiful!
Did you guys notice that the newer Ohtsu 22 x 9 x 7 tires are a lower profile than the orginals that came out in '85 and '86?
I noticed this when I bought some for my 85 350X, versus the ones that are on my '86 350x.
From the looks of the 200x you have there...those tires seem slightly wider and lower than my '86.
More like the newer ones I b172661ought for my 85.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the delay in responding to the questions regarding the stand on casters...
This was built by a gentleman in Virginia and painted the same color as the frame.
Mike at Vintage makes stands for the US90's, which is where the idea came from, so this stand is just a modified version of Mike's great idea.
The back tires are only a couple inches off the concrete (which is not really visible in the pic), the front time is probably 3 inches off.
Mike deserves all the credit for these machines.
Maybe not really the place, but looking at the most perfect specimen I've ever seen kinda reminded me..

Just saying!I always thought they reminded me of the 86 250r bezel without the lower piece on there. They shared the same glass as the 86 250r and the 86-87 250sx.

Nice to see a brand new 87 200X and prob better than it came from the showroom floor. Mike is the man when it comes to restorations and he is restoring the rear axle for my 87 200X as we speak. Thanks for sharing !
