Headlight bracket question with picture

What is this bracket for. It seems like it hits the back side of the light housing and causes it to sit crooked. Anyone know or am I missing something? :wondering

It holds the spotlight electrical socket on my '83. You either have the wrong headlight guard or light assembly.

OK, makes sense. Looks like i have the wrong housing. Maybe this is what it's supposed to look like.

Found it!!! It's a headlight housing from a '83-84 ATC250R in a '84 200ES guard.

You might be able to get a couple bucks for that 250r light housing, Idk.

hoping its a part from the other trike that is buried in the barn where this one was found......hoping! I'll find out this weekend.
