Help!! I just bought an 85 honda 250r

So I just bought my first 85 250r and it ran great for about an week now I just jumped on her tonight and I have 1st and 2nd gear but it won't go into any other gear do you guys think its a shift fork that went bad

Could be a shift fork, could be worn dogs on the gears themselves. May also be something as simple as a worn out shift drum stopper. Unfortunately you may have to split the cases.

was it hard to pop in neutral while running before all this happened? did you force it any on your last ride? or went from shifting good on one ride to WTF on the next one?:wondering Hope you get lucky but sounds like open heart surgery to me:( GL Keep us posted

It shifts find in 1st and 2nd and goes into neutral just find but going into 3rd acts like its not even there. Also I didn't have any trouble with it when it was drove last

again.....shift fork, dogs, shift drum stopper.....only way to know is to split the cases.
