Looking for some help with my ytm 200k. Heres the story, the oil was changed with correct oil and everything put back right. I started it about 8 months ago and only ran it about 3-4 mins and let it idle and shut it down when i noticed the carb overflowed when off. So i fixed the carb problem and than noticed the petcock started leaking. Anyways 8 months later i fixed the petcock leak and checked the oil again for fun. it was fine and at the same level. So i go inside the house and come back out and my dad was yanking on the rusted decompression cable with vice grips and pliers. He says now it should pull easier. I go to pull it over and it wont budge an inch...Do you think the engine seized from sitting or can it be something to do with him yanking on the decompression cable?? I just pulled on the pull cord about 3-4 weeks ago talking with a friend about the petcock leak and it was fine....

Sounds like he screwed up the recoil... Take it off make sure the motor still spins over by hand, i'm sure the motor is fine its just the recoil is jammed up.

Hopefully, i'll take it apart today and look at it...I even took out the plug and put it in 3rd and 4th gear and pushed it a bit and still locked up tighter than a you know what....I guess it could be something to do with the recoil...Thanks
