Any of you guy that are familiar with the 200X,

I just bought 2 85 200X's and finished rebuilding the carbs. On the pilot jet the service manual shows [Pilot jet, spring, washer, o-ring] neither had the washer when I took them apart. Is the washer supposed to be there? I am having a hard time starting both and this is the only major thing I could think of.

The rebuild kit was from Amazon "Freedom Country ATV" http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004J3A9B4/ref=pe_385040_30332190_pe_175190_21431760_M3T1_ST1 _dp_1

I can start both if I pull start them but they are running like crap during acceleration. Both were running fairly well prior to the rebuild and I've checked initial timing settings, valve clearance, and initial carb settings (all as per the service manual).

Thanks,

Sturrock

Thanks for posting the amazon carb rebuild kit link, I wasn't sure which one I needed for my 85 200x. Thanks!

Well, it's been a while since I worked on a 200X carb but, yes - they need to be there - should have been in the kit

Thanks for the post, I did install it during the rebuild. I've just been having a hard time getting the carb dialed in and this was the only thing that was different (well besides the new jets and other parts). Typcally, in past rebuilds, I've been able to go with the standard setup (from the manual) on the pilot, main and idle and then just start it up and tweak it a little. This time around I'm kicking until my leg hurts..lol. I have to be missing something. If all else fails I'll go back to the old parts and see if I'm still having the same problem. I wouldn't be the first time I've had issues with after market parts. Again...I appreciate the help.
