Since ive started my Sx build I have been scouring the country looking for discontinued NOS parts for it. Its been fun, I have found a ton of them, and when I get a package in the mail, or by UPS, its just like Christmas. So yes, its a big deal for this trike geek as well.:w00t:
Nice score!

You should come out and ride some trails sometime. It's not death defying or anything but I do have Creekside atv right out my back door.

Credit where credit is due; Eric hooked me up! :p:cool::cool: All I ever found on ebay was broken, abused, and overpriced covers. I don't know how I missed this one :wondering, but it was nice that he took the time to create a link to help out. :beer

You know about 10 years ago I was into making urethane plastic molded parts. I made some pretty cool lenses and some little trim pieces for a mustang. This part wouldn't be too difficult to make. I think I could make about 20 for around $100 or so. It's pretty time consuming though.

Ok so I'm kind sad about this cover, it's not exactly the same. I went to put it on today and cover label plate that mounts to it does not fit!!! It's slightly different. Looks exactly but the little surface the plate mounts to is slightly smaller. What a disappointment! Guess I need to get the mold making stuff out and make one myself!

Triple dog, how's yours, same??

The new one looks the same as a used one i have here. Wonder if there was a change somewhere in their production. The metal plate doesn't really sit down in the cover it sits over it, the ones i have here there was a double sided tape between the metal plate and the plastic piece, so i guess thats why the made it so there was room between.

I haven't gotten my cover yet, Eric. The 'REVERSE SHAFT" emblem for my cover is trashed anyway. I was thinking about making an insert out of some 12 gauge aluminum sheet I have kicking around, or simply having a decal made (hint, hint ;) ) to replace the emblem. My cover is at the Post Office, I just didn't make it there before the service window closed. I will let you know if my cover is the same as the original.
