So I finally got my bored 200M cylinder back. Went with a high comp wiseco pison/ring set. This is my first time ever getting any cylinder bored.

First question is.. How much of a gap is there supposed to be between the piston and cylinder walls? I can wiggle the piston (no rings on it) just a tad. It only wiggles back and forth not left to right.

Next question is whats the right way to space out these rings on the piston? Apparently I did it wrong last time and i want to be 100% sure before putting this motor back together.

Now for the ring gap.. do I have to set this? How do I set this?176700

Thanks!

If you had a shop bore it to match your oversize piston then i wouldn't worry about it, just get it put together, you can check the ring end gap if your really picky though. The info is all in the service manual including a diagram showing how to set the rings.

In the service manual the max piston to cylinder clearance is 10mm or .004 inch.

4 ring gaps so pretend the piston is square and put a gap on each corner ......
