Now I know im going to get alot of slack from some people on here. But its not for me. I bought a ytm 225 dr that came with a parts bike. Now looking carefully this quad is a trike. With a atv kit bolted to it. Now my neighbours dont like trikes cause there trikes. You know the people.:wondering Anyway. He wants to buy it and make it a quad for his wife. The kit is in great shape for being as old as it is. But im missing the top parts that would allow it to bolt to the goose neck. And no handle bar clamps at all. I want to take my cut off saw and cut it up but it is a piece of trike history especially in Easteren Canada. Id like to see pics of this. Been looking at the 86 tecayte one on ebay but tells me nothing. Can anyone post up some pics if they have some. The add pics dont help me either.

Older Yamaha quads were essentially trikes. You more than likely have a YFM 225.

i know the yfm 200 was basicly a 225dx, with a 200e motor and a very basic front end on it, from the gas tank back they are almost identicle.

No guys. this frame is in 2/3 pieces. Its not a quad. It has hydrolic disk brakes. And the steering colom runs right through the goose neck of the quad frame. I need pictures of what they look like at the top.

The dr had drum brakes in the front and mechanical disc in the back. No hydros there.

We are just trying to help figure out what you have here. Things are not adding up. If you want any help I suggest you take some pictures and we will try to help you as best as we can. There is no reason to get all upset here. I'm just going to leave it at that.
Search for the stuff here on the forums, i have seen lots of pics of conversions on here.

There is pictures of every 3 wheeler conversion kit made by astro. No dr but there is a dx. There is even up close pictures of the kit itself. Not sure if this is your kit, but these were the most popular. I did the work for you.
Your welcome.
