Hey all, been a lurker for a long time, finally picked up a 350x that nees LOTS of TLC but can't wait to get started on it. Two days tinkering and I was ripping around the back yard, now comes the tear down, thats where i'm hoping your guys expertise will help me through it.

Welcome to the forums. Just post any questions and im sure lots of people will help. The 350x is a popular bike.
Also even easier, just use the search bar, more than likely the question has already been asked and answered.

Thanks guys. I live in bismarck, as you can see from the pic(if I attach correctly) the front left fork tube is bent, the guy I bought it from said it needs the top end rebuilt. She needs some TLC as you can see but I plan on replacing all plastics and seat to original colors. It's not gonna be a show toy but when i'm done i'm hoping it'll be one that some drool over and have it as close to original as possible.

How much you end up getting for? You can either attatch from computer or pages like photo bucket. Just hit the button that looks like a picture. And upload it there.

Upload it to photobucket and copy the photo link that starts with [IMG] and paste it here. It will be embedded after you post it.
If you want more detailed instructions and can't figure it out I'll gladly walk you through it.

Hm, maybe because your still in your "probation" period but I don't think it prevents you from posting pictures. Try sending a admin a private message.

For those of you that have done the gusseting, is it worth it? since I have to rebuild the front end, and also the top end I figure its pretty much torn down anyway. But then I have to paint and make it all pretty again. so wondering if its something that you fellas recommend?

If it was my bike I would if for anything just peace of mind.

Well since it's not powder coated you could easily just do touch-ups around where you welded and the gussets themselves. I assume your just going to use spray paint cans so it should be fairly easy. Just depends how picky you are with how it looks.

Looks good for $200! Man once you get it together and ready to ride. We might have to get together and hit the desert up!

Yeah we're talking about kimball bottoms muthey. I really appreciate the offer to go ride but it may be awhile before I have her in traveling condition. just picked up a replacement front end today. Also was hoping that adjusting the valves might get rid of the "tick" I have but that didn't help even though they needed adjusting. It doesn't smoke at all but she sounds terrible so it looks like it officially may get rebuilt. Unless you fellas have some other suggestions to try before?
