cool beans, never woulda thought $1600....too bad we cant sell em for that now, $50 seems to be the goin rate for a trashed 1, I got mine free in pieces, its now like 90% restored but its a conversion too, ive got an 83 185s frame and tires with an 80's 200 front suspension, and a 2005 Lifan 200 street bike engine, the rear plastics are from a Yamaha quad, but it looks awesome and runs crazy great.....
thanks for the info and link....... 3 wheeler world is always a great place to go, you guys always have the answers im looking for

I just checked on some prices on the Above link.
I would of thought that the 350x would of been higher than the 250r
but its not in fact in 85 and 86 the r was $50 higher - hard choice , but i sure like the way an x looks

You have no idea how much research time went into getting all that info gathered and posted. I'm glad to see it's still getting viewed and used years later. ;)

I picked up a 84 200x over the weekend with the original certificate of origin. The cert states the Lien was for $1890.53 from Coulter Town & Country Honda in Chandler AZ. It is now a BMW motorcycle dealer.
I even have the original owners name and address!

I paid $1,320 in April 1982 for my new ATC250R in the crate from a dealer in San Diego. No tax as it was going straight from the dealer to the freight forwarder to Australia.
I still have photos of all the new ATC's lined up out front of the shop.

I bought a new 82 but don't remember the price. When I got the 83 it was 2000 even. I was at the Dentist getting my teeth cleaned and my wife called and had the nurse tell me I got the loan..

I just bought a 1983 200x from a buddy for $250. His dad bought it brand new back in the day. He traded in a US90 and put down 1500 bucks for it from a dealer.

I got a brand new 70 in '85 off the floor from Hanafin Honda in Endicott NY. My old man paid $663. + $46.41 sales tax. $709.41 out the door... And they threw in a cool "ATC" helmet. Wish I would have held on to both. All I got left is the receipt.

You have no idea how many times over the years I have looked at that page. I am sure there are probably 10s of thousands of people all over the world who have accessed it the same way I have Thanks for putting it all together, it is an amazing reference and to have it all in one place is just amazing.

Then your Dad stole it. ;) I bought my 1988 TRX250R for around $2900 new from the dealer. He had a 1986 350X that he was trying to sell me for $1700
but I was set on the 250R.
Rumor has it you could get one for $100.00, a bottle of hail gel and a Flock of Seagulls Cassette tape! But I could be wrong.

atc007, your right the good old days.... I put a ot of seat time in that showroom, climbing and crawling all over every model they had. Shortly after Paul Hanafin sold us that 70 he passed and they let the Honda dealership part of it go. If my memory is correct. His son still has the boat thing going on I believe...? I see in your sig. NEPA.... I put many miles on that 70 out in Warren Center and Little Meadows by the lake house. Cool memories.

My 1983 ATC200 came out to exactly $1983.00 brand new! That was with all the taxes. Was always easy to remember the price! :) This was in Canada mind you... Sold it a long time ago. :(

I was a Conklin cycle kid back in the 80s. I now live in vegas and fly in and out of Binghamton a lot . Flying to bing in the morning. In October I will be doing a cross country drive with an empty toy hauler to get my corvette to Vegas so you east coast guys keep that in mind if you need something hauled across the country . There are a lot of good deals out here. Or you are buying something from a member out here let me know I will be empty and using the fuel anyways.

Justin, what a trip... Conklin cycle huh? Yeah spent a lot of time there too. Small world man. PM me sometime. Between Bing, Conklin, and my time out west we could shoot the sh** for awhile.

I was trying to remember the name of the Honda shop here in my hometown. This thread made me start thinking about that. I am sure I am probably one of the few on here from Oklahoma....and I am doubly sure there aren't any others from Claremore Oklahoma lol. I believe our Honda dealer was named Port City Honda, since we are near what is known as The Port of Catoosa which is a shipping port north of Tulsa.
The shop was pretty much an ATC heaven back in the day. They dealt more in ATCs and ATVs than the street bikes and such. Had a few dirt bikes. But their bread and butter were the ATCs. When all the hub bub started in 86 concerning three wheelers the guy who owned the shop shut down. It was a sad day. My dad used to take me in there a lot in the 80s, he was a motorcycle junky as well. I still remember that smell of all those new ATCs lined up on the floor. And I remember climbing all over what would eventually become my Big Red for weeks lol. They delivered a 350X the week before I got the BR and I was nutty over that....but dad said "yeah, in your dreams"....but when he came home with the BR I forgot all about that 350X quickly.
I don't think I have ever wanted a time machine as bad as I do now....
