need some carb advice 1985 250r

ok here is the problem my trike sputters and does not hit it's power bands. it's stock other than the boyesen reeds and fmf gold series exhaust and fmf power core silencer. i have just rebuilt the carb with a shindy rebuild kit so all jets are stock, do i need larger jets with my setup:wondering

Yes,you need to go up a size or two on the jet

If your running a pipe and reeds, yes you need to go up on jet size. Pilot and main. Also if you remove the airbox lid or just vent it this will help with performance. I dont know what filter your running, but make sure its clean. A K&N helps with a lil more hp also. You really didnt give much info, but I hope this helps. It works on my 85

well i went and installed a 148 main up from the stock 142 and i have a uni air filter still not hitting its power bands
