87 200x front end on an 85 250sx???

So there's a pretty good deal on the front end of an 87 200x on ebay right now. Forks brake setup trip trees handlebars. The whole works. I can get the whole thing for less than 200 bucks. I've been wanting to replace one fork on my 250sx for years since there is a hole worn through the side of the thing from a tire that was too wide for it. Previous owner. Will this thing just bolt up to my 85 250sx? If so I'm buying this thing asap!!!!

I had read of a conversion awhile back that I was impressed with so I done a little searching. Well I did not find the one I wanted too specifically altho it is more then likely in here

I went to trikeslyveinia and used the search (not the advance search at top of page) ,,, the search feture is located just above where all the treads/posting start. I am sure you can acess that,,, maybe ?
I used the wording of "sx front end conversion" and got many pages of threads started and just took a random sampling.

The guys at TPC trikes had pics for awhile (in an add for OD green 250SX fenders) of an SX with what looked like a 350X front end on it (discs, headlights, etc). Looked pretty dope...and looked like it had a bit more height/travel.

I stand corrected. After finding some additional pics it looks like a regular SX front end with a 350x headlight (drum brakes gave it away).

I did find another thread on here that states the 200x is a direct bolt-on. All you need to do is include the 200x disc brake set up and change the steering stops (if you care about avoiding 2 small dents in your tank). I've already put an ebay bid on a 200x front end for my '85 SX.

It will fit same steering stem.... I cant say ive done it but i researched it. i have used the shocks in the sx triples and it works even used the 200x rim and tire with the sx axle using spacers and washers
