my work is sending me to NC next week and I will hang out for the weekend. anyone here from the area? What is there to do in that area?

That is not far from me and is also close to Charlotte, Mooresville and Concord. Charlotte motor speedway is in Concord and there are races next weekend if I remember right, several Nascar teams in the area and have tours of their facilities, Nascar Hall of Fame, Panthers game - if a home game, I think the Renaissance Festival has started, Lake Norman may offer some options too, Whitewater center is in Mt Holly. Only a couple hours away from:
