Cards Fan born and raised. I'm always the "glass is half empty" guy when it comes to my sports teams. I don't have a good feeling about this one. The Cardinals have never played good in Boston.

Nice! Should be good. I was at games 1 & 2 in 2004 and all the cards fans were overly nice! Good, classy fans that know the game. I've always liked the cards. Can't wait!!!

Everything that is going to be said has been said. Prediction time???? What say you, St. Loius??

I have sox in 5 or 6 depending on peavy's start. Even matchup, but our bullpen is stronger. If we take pitches early, we'll get hits late.

Well, you can't make errors and win ballgames. The split at home and the Cards have home field advantage. They say its not a series till someone loses at home. Wish that someone wasn't us!! Lackey pitched great. Errors, Errors, Errors. That martinez kid is really something! We'll see how it goes. Even though we lost, game 2 was more fun to watch. I hope the rest of the series is like this.

Crazy ending. Wow.

Second game in six days that was ended by a call. The pats/jets BS call was tough to take, but thats a regular season game that will most likely not matter. This is the WORLD SERIES. How does the ump make that call? How does THE HOME PLATE UMP make that call? Wow. Down 2-1 sounds worse then it is. I still like our odds and i'm not hitting the panic button yet. It was another good game. Fun to watch!

wow. All knotted up at 2, each team with a 1&1 homestand!!!?!?!?!?! never saw that coming. some of the weirdest baseball i've ever seen. the pucker-factor is high because everybody is making errors!!! Should be a good one tonight. Technically, with last nights win, the sox have home field advantage, but i'd rather win tonight then have to win both game 6 & 7 at home. I'm comfortable predicting that if the cards lose tonight at home, theres NO WAY they win 6&7 on the road. So, big, big game tonight.

Are you questioning how the home plate ump called Craig safe after the tangle up at third? Heck, I thought that was a great call and I don’t have a horse in this race, but if he’d have been called out I’d have spit beer from my nose. Last nights out at first was just plain funny (unless you’re a Cards fan). Can’t wait to see what follies tonight has to offer.:beer

yeah. the third base call. what was middlebrooks supposed to do? not reach for the ball? also, he's not even in the baseline between third and home, he's between second and third. oh well. home town eyes i guess. hopefully, after tomorrow, it'll be moot.

No, please Boston put them out of their misery so this city can get back on track. Its Hockey season and I have to save up all of my emotions of being let down on the Blues.

So true! Fact be known I've been watching most of the World Series during the hockey commercials. BTW your Blues beat my Jets the other day, so you're not doing to bad.

I'm done with baseball. Now I'm just gonna pour all of my emotions into the Blues and wait for the proverbial kick to the groin come spring time. I love the Cardinals, the tradition, the previous WS championships, and all that, but I truly wear my emotions on my sleeve with the Blues. Maybe one day we will break the curse of Scotty Bowman?

big win. class act team in st. louis, start to finish. if they can somehow hold onto that young talent theyre gonna be dangerous for awhile. manager is all class and a competitor. it was a good, exciting series. both teams have great pitching. the alcs and the ws had a "playoff hockey" feel. just exciting games. whose gonna start the stanley cup thread?? the black and gold ain't to shabby either!! (although they lost last night) man, three world series in 9 years. amazing. when boone hit that dinger in 03 i thought i'd never see one. My grandmother was born in 05, (1905) and saw the sox win 4 by her 13th birthday. then she never saw them win again. she died in 03 @ 98. I watched a ton of games with her in 98,99,00, and 01. she would get pissed at the umps and she was a total homer. i see my young nieces and nephews now, that have been so spoiled seeing all these wins, in every sport, and i think how it could all just stop, and never happen again. its crazy. definitely something that brings families together and connects generations.

We have an old one in this forum BMK started titled "Hockey's Back" that we can recycle. Seeing how my Jets are sucking hind boobie again I guess I'm pulling for the Leaf's this year.
