Well.... Add another 85 Tri-Z rolling chassis (that looks to be an old racer from back in the day), a running/riding 86 Z and a running/riding 86 350X to the list

I think the running Z may be an 85.5. I'm gunna have to look it over a lot better. Sent pics of the pipe to phase-5 / Mr. Steger and he says it looks like one of his. Hopefully so!! That would AWESOME!!! Then I would have 2!

The 85 "rolling" chassis has real flat bars and a weird rear shock that's short and has a tiny rezi, but has the ramp/click style preload adjustment instead of the threaded body and 2 big nuts. Will get better pics of it and the swingarm next time I am by the machine. The rear rims are ollldddd school 8" aluminum pieces with some Carlisle Amerithon tires. When I saw they said 'Carlisle' I figured they were just lawn mower tires but they are actual race tires! SWEET!! Lol

The 350 smokes some, gunna rebuild the top end and slap an EX carb on it but other than that leave it mostly stock.

The Tri-Z has loowwww compression and is LOUD. Loud like there's no packing at all, loud. And it's ugly. And it's got FREAKIN TRAIL PRO ON THE REAR. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I'm gunna hunt for the stuff to make it a powervalve motor.
The 85 roller will get a TT500 transplant. Gotta figure out what to do with my other 85 roller....

Oh and the forks and rear shock in the running Z are GONE. Seller threw in some new fork seals for it but the rear shock needs rebuilt. Think I will just no link/300EX it

Nice scores there! Heck while you are in the 350 you should through a bigger cam and a 10:1 piston in it to give it some snort! Just have to run High test pump fuel with a little octane booster. That is what is done with mine and that thing is an animal! Tri-a looks pretty good! But like any toy pushing 30 years it needs some loving! Lets get some more pics of videos of these toy! :beer

If the YTZ transmission is a six speed, it's an '86, great score, dood!!

Thanks man!! Probably gunna leave the 350 majority stock. It'll get a fresh top end and an EX carb and that's about it.

The Z will get a ported YZ top end and my chrome Phase-5 pipe, 36mm carb (has some round slide Mic on it right now), some 18 or 20" Razrs out back, maybe a Zinger tank (twin tanks).

Other than some surface rust on the shaft ends, the bottom end feels decent. All crank bearings are good even! So this one will get built into a powervalve motor while we ride on the Z as it is for now,, until we finish up our 450 both the 350 and Z will be ridden.

Man is it a heap.... But it runs and rides half azzed. I can't wait to make her all better again.

Really cool, man. I'd do what was said to the X. Wiseco 10.25:1 piston, and a good all around cam (I think web makes one that works with stock springs) and have some fun.

I may yet do that. She needs a top end rebuild anyway so why not? Lol. Gunna go with an EX carb as well. Not sure if I said that already...
