So I posted awhile back about my brother rm125 not revving and about 2000$ later it still isn't running? So the problem is when you rev it it bogs down really low/deep and won't rev. So far he's rebuilt the whole entire top end, replaced cdi box, startor, whole governer assembly, cleaned carb multiple times, had it jetted, and pretty much about everything has been done and it does the same exect thing??? We took it many different places and none of them new the problem even took it to the local Harley Davidson nothin... He's getting really mad cuz he put so much in it and still won't work, I'm posting this for him now so any help at all will be greatly appriciated!
Thanks Colton

Have you tried running with the choke on, see if there is a change?
The exaust system free and clear? any chance you can get a video? a leak down test should be done along with a compression test very first thing to verify the condition of the engine and that it is infact assembled properly. is the powervalve set properly and moving freely?

The best advice I can give is, when going to look at any type of machine, if it runs like crap and you have no clue what you are doing mechanically, leave it there. Now he has already bought it and has way more into it than it's worth and it still don't run right.
On another note it's been quite a few years but my old rm sounded similar to your problem, if I remember correctly it was a bad ground wire somewhere. I can't remember exactly where but mine was a bad end on a ground wire on the frame.

rray62 yes we tried choke and many other things.
MTS It has a new pro circuit pipe, compression is great, power valves were cleaned from carbon and set.

Seriously? It’s just a little 2 stroke! Does he sell his cars when it comes time to change the oil or empty the ash trays?;)
If he has this much into it and still wants a bike to ride, why not finish the job? Seals, bearings and a gasket set are under $200 and he should be able to do the job over a weekend without rushing. I’d fix it if for no other reason than to be able to sell it for a decent buck and a with clear conscience.
PS. Took it to a Harley dealer?:wondering

Yeah are local Harley dealer is also a main place for dirt bikes and atvs, huge shop for fixing stuff.
My brother is a really good machanic he can fix about anything he needs to, he's 20 and been workin on cars since he was 13 lol so he's really good at that stuff, he just really doesn't want to get into the bottom end on that bike. He said it looked like a pain in the @ss to open up so idk what he's gonna do now.

Oh come on man!! He can fix it. You need to do a leakdown test on it and that will tell you if it is the crank seals or not. Splitting the case on that bike can't be too bad and there is plenty of informative threads on this site and videos on you tube to show you how to do it. There is only some many things that it can be, Air, Fuel and Spark right?
Btw, how in the He** is your brother going to ride a KX65 and have any fun? They are quick little bikes but not enough grunt/torque or suspension to move a 20yr old man. Good luck with what ever he decides to do.
