so today i decided to check my timing chain, so i opened the spot that has (cdi) on it on the head and took everything off to check the timing chain. timing chain was ok so i put everything back and closed it up tried to start the trike and it has no spark now. Im still new to this so i need some help, what did i do to make it lose spark? thanks for your help and happy thanksgiving

Did you plug the two wires back in? Did you mark the position of the rectifier/ advancer? Did the keyway fall out? Maybe you pulled a wire off the coil by accident. Try taking a pic and posting it here.

Yep definatly check and see if the pin is still it falls out very easily

see that black box? it has to be set with a feeler gauge, so check your manual and make sure it is set correctly. Also, that piece is magnetized, so make sure you set the gap correctly. The same thing happened to me when I rebuilt my last motor. My feeler gauge felt perfect, what I didn't know was it was sticking to the magnet side and my spark was weak or sometimes non-existent.

ok i aligned everythingto spec in the manual. now im at the plate with the black box. i dont see anything on aligning it how do i do it?
