save any points motor with a dead electrical system

i just found this on a electrical engineering site it shows how to build a board that
you simply connect to your point, battery and a cheap coil from that car sitting in your backyard the key can be replaced with a switch
and it work on any thing with points or a distributor to bad there arnt that many trikes that use points

im trying to learn to build a simple universal cdi that can run off a battery
