Is this OC 250r's bike, or another one? This same seller had the Tiger 3 project for sale last week.

Not OC's. It is the owner of Chaplin Kawasaki. He is the one who purchased Dr. Death's Tiger 250, and 3-Tigers machines years back.

I thanked you because i never had the chance to see one of those machines. That is so cool looking, i would buy it. Even if its not a 3 wheeler. It deserves to stay a quad.
Question is, which one is more rare? The 3 wheeler or the 4 wheeler? Im talking about both being 250's.

You mean the 86 tiger 250, the sickest , rarest machine in the whole world.

That one looks a little different from the one I worked on during the time I was there. The cool thing about using that motor is we could change out every gear to make any gear ratio we wanted. Then we could run two carbs on them too,one where you see that one at the rotary valve (which is different from where they are stock) and one where most two strokes have them coming out the rear of the cylinder. Or you could turn the cylinder around and have it come out the front like the carts do.Either way they had a lot of potential as far as tuning and hp.
That has to be a very rare one since I think we only sold 2 or 3 besides the prototype that I raced. They couldn't have made very many of them after I left because I don't think they were in business very much longer.
Very, very interesting indeed. I know Bill has at least 2,this one is 3,so that makes 4 I know of. I was thinking maybe 10 or so got out? Guess I'm a little high? Very neat bike . I love it!

That's a sweet bit of history and I'd love to own it. Having said that, I don't like the look of the front fender/grill. It also doesn't look like it would handle that well. The front wheels sit so far out from the kingpin/ball joint that a steering damper would be essential. The front suspension geometry also looks off, i.e., too little travel, especially for motocross. It might be fine for flat track.

Awesome. I'd much rather have a 3 wheeled version though.

Seems like the Suzuki front ends were popular. A lot of 3 to 4 conversions looked like Suzuki as well. First on 4 wheels! lol.

They basically were either the LT250R front end or LT230S front end. I mean heck, even us Suzuki guys don't really like the front ends! We cut them off and replace them with YFZ450 fronts!!! But for flat track racing it's daaammmnnnnn good. That's what Suzuki made them for. They were designed in 82/83 when there was mostly just flat tracks to race on. Now big jumps or anything like that.
I'm excited to see how mines going to feel after putting the 3+2 a-arms and inche longer dual rate shocks on.... But I digress from the thread. MY BAD!!!!
Someone buy this bike then send it to me for a tie rod adjustment and safe keeping. I'll let it sit in my living room! Lol
No matter what. It is still a golf cart...and in the wrong forum..
And now is the time for Dr. POSER

Anyone have an idea what the production numbers were on the Tiger 3 wheelers--the 250s in particular? Did they make 500, 200, what?

I have no idea on the total number of the Tiger 250s. I only have 1 frame that is numbered and I have no idea if the numbers on the 250 were in order or if all the Tiger numbers were in order no matter the size. OC250r probably has a much better idea than I would have since he has compiled so much info.

I recall coming across a website a couple of years back where a guy was displaying all the NOS Tiger parts he’d bought. There were literally hundreds of parts shown and they were inside his home on the floor and tables. Does this ring a bell? Have you ever seen these photos or do you know who owned them? I can’t seem to find it now.

There are some sharp Tiger guys on here , but I think they would all agree,,OC Bill is THE man on Tigers. Period. His dedication to them is relentless and untiring. I doubt there are more than 3 facts he does NOT know about any of the Tiger history. I respect his privacy, and the heck out of what he has accomplished!

WOW. Some Awesome Info and History on that site.
As stated before, the Tigers were a prime example of where the Industry was headed at that time in ATV history. They were cool bikes made especially for racing right out of the box.
This tread is making me want to find one and restore. I really want one of the 125's. :Bounce
