Hello all, just joined the site.
I have 2 nice old Hondas:
1983 ATC200E Big Red. 100% all original, very low hour 1 owner machine with the original tires! Runs like a Honda.
1985 ATC 125M. Again a nice all original, 1 owner machine. It has low hours as well but not as low as Big Red. I've added a NOS rear rack and have a front one as well as headlight guard waiting installation. This is my Son's machine for the most part.
I would like to get a hitch for it but am having a tough time finding one. I can make one but would like drawings, pictures anything to give me an idea how it should be.
Any help or if anyone knows where to get one would be very much appreciated.

I also have the original tires and wheels for the 125M for sale. I found these 200S oem tires and wheels and swapped them out. I like the 1 piece wheels better, personally. The tires are a bit better too IMO.

Hope the pictures come through.

Very nice! My friend has a 84 Big Red in that condition, he won't let me near it. (ha ha)

Real time capsules right there. I am not positive but i think all the the trailer hitches for the machines were generally the same design. Just maybe different dimensions or lengths. So try looking at even the 200e, 200s, and ones like that to get an idea on how they look. Maybe you could get one and modify it.

Can items be listed for sale here? I have the original tires for sale on CL but ATC's are a limited market.

Just wondering.

Great looking trikes, too bad the big red isn't a year newer so it would be a shaft drive but in that condition it shouldn't matter

I do covet the 1984 model with reverse, but I could not pass on this one when I went to buy it. Very fine machine for the 500 I paid. I paid the same for the 125m. But know the BR is way more machine. The 125M seems about as quick and is plenty powerful! I like them both while my Son prefers the 125m. Says it handles better. It does but that's cause it's lighter and smaller.

Yes you can, but you have to have X number of posts, and have been a member for 2 months.

Just got my NOS front rack in. Had time to get it and NOS headlight guard mounted. Going to fab something up for the lower support arms onto the forks. Nice rack with the original hondaline decal as well as warning load limit label! Same as rear. The rear is nice as it has the hinged area so it can be opened just like the one on my BR.
Will post pictures of all when completed. These are in process to ensure al will fit and clear each other. I read somewhere that the headlight guard will not fit with rack. You can see it easily does.

Now just to land the rear hitch! Then it's all good to go, a mini BR! :D

Finished installing front Rack on 125M tonight. Lower clamps came out pretty good. Made them with .090" thick steel. Were a bit tough to open and get around fork tubes but are STOUT! Looks pretty good with the rear rack and headlight guard all together now. would be nice to find a speedo kit for this and my BR. They are expensive whenever I see on ebay!

I will look in the shop tomorrow and see if i have a rear hitch. If not I bet I know someone who does have one.

Thank You.

It would finish this 125m off having an original honda (or aftermarket) hitch. My Son wants it to have everything the BR does.

Well I finally gave up trying to find a hitch to fit the 125M. I ended up buying a NOS one made by San Angelo for an '85 200M. I had to do a fair ammount of fabricating and modifying but the result is a near factory looking hitch. It is VERY STOUT! I had an extra decal from the Big Red and put it on the hitch.
It's all set now, ready for yard work and fun. :p
