Some of you might recognize this, I know ole Tim Keister will. After all, it was his R. I bought this in July from the kid he sold it to years ago. That kid blew it up and left it in a barn to rot. I saved it, went through it 100% and now it runs like a brand new machine. Has a full DG exhaust, '85 R carb, '85 front end which I made a custom steering stop for so the triples wouldn't hit the tank, trued the crank with a new connecting rod and bearings, correct brake calipers on front and back (had a home made front one before), new tires, new headlight, new IMS tank, nice new seat cover, and lots of new paint. I think it looks rather nice. You'll see in one of the pictures that the blue tank had a small leak and that was what drove me to an IMS tank. One last thing I need to get for it is a skid plate for the swing arm, but that will be on its way soon. What do you guys think?

It looks real good. I kinda like the blue tank better but it still looks good. I've seen Maverick in person once at Tims, looks good man.

Nice job, that's a lot of work. Are you happy with the new tank? where did you get the tank from, is it new?

I am sure Timmy will getbig sh#@ eatin grin on his face whe he sees old Maverick back to life. Nice job! It is great to see some new stories about older trikes that were legends in the new 3 wheel era. Very cool that in 20 years....kids may be talking about and researching "Maverick" trike from Tionesta...... We ned more legends built, rode, talked about and passed on to new faces......

I actually donated a couple parts to that trike. It is cool to see it, I wondered what happened to it. Tim is quite the living trike legend!!:beer

I liked the blue tank a lot too, but when I looked at the colors IMS had their blue didn't match as much as I hoped it would. I am quite impressed with IMS though, originally I expected either a white or red tank but they sent me an email saying it would need to be special ordered, so I asked for a black one. And it come a few weeks ahead of schedule. I love this bike, still working out some tuning kinks though.
