Got them in july the 4000 series one from Window World. Summer was night and day difference but once October came we started having moister on all the windows ones with curtains and ones we never cover up. Now its 10 deg we can feel the air blow in between the 2 sections where the latches are and all around the window jam. Our other windows were 25 years old and warmer feeling when you stood by them. These new ones even have frost on the inside! our old windows never did that. I even vented the dryer periodically into the house. Back in Oct I turned on the dehumidifier I and got the basement down to 35% moister. Of to hardware store today to get a digital humidity meter I guess. Even if the moisture is high it don't explain the cold blowing in. It don't seem like a installation issue as much as the part where the double hung slide in the outer track.

I had 4 windows put in from window world 3 or 4 years ago, couldn't be happier with them. Don't remember which model, they were a step or two above the cheapest ones, double pane argon filled. Call them and complain, the say they have a good warranty. Maybe a noob installer?

Venting your dryer in the house doesn't help them from condensation. There is a lot of moisture from a load of wash.

past years I vented the dry in the house. I dont any more. IDK all the jibbersih on the tag in the windows dont mean nothing to me. There suppose to be the 4000. I think it goes the cheapo $189, 2000 series,4000 and 6000 series. IDK Just not pleased with them. Im gonna call them soon I think.

I'm fighting the condensation thing too.
At zero F, the windows are frosted with an inside air temp of 75 thanks to the woodstove.

I got a digital temp, humidity meter. Not sure how they can make 'em for 6 bucks but it seems to work.
Indoor humidity is around 20% and nose is always dried out so I got a
steamer type vaporizer thing, in addition to a 2 gallon pot of water on the woodstove.

The vaporizer holds 1/2 gallon and almost lasts through the night and ups the humidity to 30%. Pretty sure it was under 15 bucks.

They say we exhale a quart of moisture overnight which can frost windows in the bedroom.
and still looking for the perfect indoor humidity but no good answers so far.

It would sure be nice to get some good answers.

Well I talked to window world today and my complaint was drafts they kept trying to change the subject to I have hi moister in the house and that's why I have condensation!! Total going around the point. I told them My old windows from 1987 has less air flow around them and the condensation actually freezes on the frames with the blinds open or closed my old windows never did that. I just don't get it.

Usually a couple of 8$ an hour guys install them and have a tight schedule.

I always fill the voids with insulation as well as spray expanding foam. We buy middle of the cost windows and they are just fine for apartments.

We have bought 50 windows in one shot!
