Recently talking to someone that runs an ice racing organization from northern Wisconsin. He already runs a class called the Supertrike class and they run heavily modified ATC 185's. But I asked him if we could get another class going for the bigger cc's and with studs. He said if we get enough riders he will give us a class. These are the 3 main rules. Noise level must be under 96db, Must have nerf bars, and must have 3 number plates around the machine.
Here is the website.

I probably wont be ready this season but for next winter season I will be. Now I just gotta find another 82 ATC 250r and turn it into an ice racer monster.
What do you guys think? Would you wanna do something like this?

I'm in central IL, but would be interested next year. I could probably run any class from 200-500 with a little prep. NY/PA is just too far to haul to ice race.

96 DB?? go figure the DNR will be all over any one with a machine not stock. My stock was 250R is louder than 96 DB. I got stopped with a FMF system and was over and a local warden checked me with the stock exhaust at home cuz asked him to. He said even though its over its not obnoxious and acceptiable. Are they gonna check up there like that?

There are ice races in Poynette WI that were formerly always held at Lake Koshkonog/Newville WI, SWIRA is the name of the association. I am going to email him this week for some info. Poynette is located about 20 minutes north of Madison WI.

I emailed Kris at SWIRA last monday about me running in the races. He said he had to ask some others and woud get back to me. It says right on the page they don't do a whole lot of email activity but hopefully he will let me know soon because the first race is this coming weekend. Will let you guys know if I hear anything. I have been thrashing on the trike getting some stuff done, have alot of new parts to put on along with some final adjustments that need to be done.

Ok well I got the go ahead. They said I can run B class unstudded and if they see I have an obvious advantage they will move me up to pro classs. I said I hope I can do well enough to be considered to have an advantage lol. Well I have alot of work to do by Sunday. Hope this helps anyone interested in ice racing in the Wisconsin area.
