I agree that the guy has some knowledge that has been able to help people, but EVERYTHING that has caused him and other people on here to be so negative has been caused by himself. We don't suddenly start bickering and throwing digs after 10 years of (mostly :D) flawless information exchanging, unless there is something or someone added, in this case, that is kinda self explanatory what it was. Someone on the other thread said something I agree with, "If he has not changed by now (I mean, this guy has to be in his at least early 50's) there is no changing him." I stand behind that, and as we ALL have seen, that is true.

I want barnett to post in this thread and dissect everything we have said. I need somthing funny to cheer up my sunday afternoon :cool:

I saw him for the narcissistic post whore he was right away..called him out and ended up in a full out brawl.

Mods got involved, he got repremanded..pretty sure it was then that he lost his 'EDIT' button and I guess it's still MIA.

Anyway, some of the other members got up in my grill about my treatment of him..WTF are you kinding me? I decided it was best to block him (the one and only member I've every done that too)..

The part that really rubbed people wrong was how he had so much generalized information but it was totally clear that he had no practical knowledge of the specific trike..

In one thread he spouted on for 5-6 paragraphs about the principals of butterfly choke/carb operation when the OP had asked about the carb on their 250ES or 250SX, I can remember exactly..none the less a carb that uses a fuel enrichment circuit..

The poor OP was so flooded with information because he just kept posting and posting, but absolutely none of it relevant to their specific machine he bailed on the thread and messaged me to ask some questions because his thread had been B-jacked!! (new term I just submitted it to Websters by the way!)

When I suggested to B, he slow down and get a bit more specific and to the point on his answers he threw a bltch-fit at me.

This is why I coined him "The Almighty Oz" many months ago. That was the impression I was getting from his long winded rants. His refusal to come out and declare who he was creeped me out. He recently took a sentence of mine, altered it and posted it as a quote. He then bashed the portions he'd added. I guess he figured no one would ever take the time to go back and check if I actually wrote what was in the quote. I can see why his edit button was yanked. That is the most chicken shart thing I have ever seen someone do on here. He’s a couple rungs down from gas station toilet bowl stains as far as I’m concerned. The way I see, it seems that Barnett joined this site looking for attention. Rather than earn peoples respect over time, he decided to blow his past all out of proportion, so he could be looked up to and earn instant respect, and someone called him on it. Maybe, the night before he joined this site, he had just spent the night in a Holiday Inn Express?

As it stands now, Barnett still has some good, valid information & tips to pass on (albeit in some very long-winded posts), but since this relationship was started, based on fibs/lies, or whatever you want to call them, other members are a lot less tollerant of him.

Understood, but we're just trading one villan for another..

I think it's maybe time for us just to keep biting out collective tongues. If we have a problem with another member contact an administrator if the reason is valid..if not just be the bigger man.

Maybe some lesson can be learned from the Barnett situation.

It's very odd. Sometimes he actually had SOME good information but far over the top and the quote and reply 10X in a row reminded us all of another ex member. He is an odd character and things were getting way out of hand.

None of us are perfect, I myself have looked back and thought "wow, you sounded like a jerk" and felt bad about it afterwards.
