Tire sizing

I have a question on tire sizing.
My YTM 225 has 22 - 6 x 11 what does that refer too? Tire height, x rim width, by tire width?

If I wanted new Rear tires the same width but smaller in height id buy a _ - _ X _ ...

20-11-8 would be the next size smaller stock. Take a pic of your tire and rim for us so we can determine if it is stock or something else.

im trying to go off memory here but maybe it is a 22-11 x 8... its the stock rims. and I believe the tires, while not the stock ones, are the same size as stocks because it came with a stock tire but its so weather cracked it wont hold air.

Yes stock size is 22x11x8. 22 is the tire height, 11 is the width and 8 is the rim diameter.

The way I remember it is to think of the word HoWDy. Height Width Diameter:)

so then the rim... its an 8 x 8 right? or is it 8 x 6? lol I cant find the info on the rim sizing.

try 8 by 11

Its an 8 inch wheel diameter . The other 2 numbers refer to the tire itself ,,, 22 inches tall 11 inches across the tread .
