Been planning this and saving up parts for a few months now. Hoping to have this to race at Trikefest. Pretty much everything is destroyed on this old R. This thing has some race history, has the number 61 on the shroud and the fender, and then it was 11x on the rear number plates on the fenders. It has the stickers KYB on the forks, wondering if they have some old re-valving done to it?? The steering stop on the frame is also beat out so it can turn sharper, and thus, the front of the tank is all beat up. Also, some idiot put a weird shock on it... It came out of an old barn in Montana and a guy I know hauled it here when he was coming back to Minnesota. Basically this thing is going to need a full rebuild of everything.

PLANS: get a DG head for it, port the cylinder, going to widen her out with some extended hubs, all new Maier plastics, my forks are bent so if you know where I can get them straightened let me know!! I need rear brakes, Going to completely rebuild chassy (axle bearings, pivot bearings, fresh rebuilt brakes, fresh suspension, sandblast, then powdercoat.) The motor is going to be completely redone, every bearing, every seal, EVERYTHING is going to be new, fresh bore on the cylinder and new piston and rings.. then sandblast and powdercoat cases and cylinder.

My frame is completely trashed, swinger is trashed, shock is trashed, rear axle and hubs are welded solid, all cosmetics are junk. So far I already got a bunch of parts for it, I have a Full DG exhaust, Another swinger, another shock, Front brakes, another gas tank, kill switch, 2 new rear axles, a stock width Finishline heavy duty axle, a good stock rear axle, good stock hubs, and a frame and airbox on there way from California.

Some members I want to thank so much for parts are: Shortline, manbearpig.

Here are the pics of the old beast.

When I was getting the swingarm bolt out, I had to to have my brother help me, and this machine has had some bad oil leaks, and it was all on the skid plate, when we were heating the swingarm pivot's the machine caught fire, as we were laughing, stumbling outside to get some snow it started getting bigger, and after several buckets of snow we got it out!!! I thought I was going to have to carry the machine out the door and throw it in a snow pile!

I have some pics right after we got the fire out and with the snow on it.

I have the motor torn down to the main crankcases, still have the clutch and flywheel on though because I do not have a big enough socket to get the big clutch nut off. (does anybody know what size it is?) Also, waiting for a puller on Ebay to arrive for the flywheel. There is a bit of rust on the flywheel and just a tiny bit on the crank, the crank still is usable and I believe the flywheel is too. When I took the flywheel cover off some water came out...

Dirtcrasher here on the boards will straighten forks, or at least he used too.
