Sad stuff Bill .........I see it every day and don't do nearly enough about it?? Poverty and those who cannot help theirselves is worldwide as that vid proves. One little gesture like that makes someones day.....even if it is just one day, it is a start

Yeah. I simply posted it because those 2 guys are at least trying :). I personally have NEVER seen homeless that I'm aware of. One of my cousins foster boys, who my Son has watched over. Basically is,but he stays with scumbags rather than on the street. HIS choice. Perfectly physically healthy, but tore up emotionally from abuse. Gets $1800 a week gas well/pipeline jobs. Keeps them a few weeks,Quits, repeats. Lifes rough, that's for sure.

I just wanted to share what happened when I did this^^^ early today.

It was just a small box of food, macaroni, soups, 2 snickers bars and some bread. One of the two guys I gave it to tried to give me the jacket he was wearing in exchange. I just realized that I don't know what else to say about that.

Then I went to Walmart later today to get some adult beverages, and of course I ended up in line with a guy that had two carts full of food and was price matching everything he had, uggghhh. My tiny brain took a while to realize that he had enough food there to feed a lot of people, and he was just trying to make it work.

I'm really not known for my public interaction, but for some reason I decided to blurt out "dang man looks like someone's gonna be feasting tonight!" The guy was like "ya, I run a shelter and we got ten boys that eat like men ya know"
Once again my tiny brain went to work, and I thought HEY here's another great opportunity to do whatever I can today... so I grabbed the last twenty out of my wallet and handed it to him. He was super excited, said "you know what I'm gonna do with this?, I'm gonna give each one of the boys $2." I thought that was perfect. In case anyone is wondering, the guy even made a point to show me his credentials, even though I never asked.

Wanted to share this with you 007 because you are the one that started it. Thanks again.

I never give homeless money , or belongings , but I have and will buy them a meal and sit with them while they eat . It's a world we don't totally understand . You have to be very careful how you try to help . Talking about people living on the street . I'm in construction and we see our share of this working in the city . I see beat downs after someone gave a guy a bag of clothes , or food , thinking they were helping . Donate to the local shelter , that way they don't have to fight to keep what you gave .

This can get to be a heavily debated topic, and i respect everyones opinion, because everyone has had different life experiences.
In my humble opinion, everyone should help out whoever they want however they choose to. Having been homeless more than once, I do understand. Its been long time since I've worried about a beat down, and with every reward there is a risk.

My 2¢ on this matter, over and out.
