checking on it now, missed Gary last night but caught him this morning. he said they reserved a spot in the 'cowboy campground'. I need to call and see but it doesnt show tent camping is allowed in that lot just camper/toy hauler camping etc. So we may get split up since Jarred is the only one hauling out from MO with a vehicle/hauler set up for camping in. Unless we set up tents on your trailer Eric lol.

Q - How many tents can I put on a site?

A - In a tent camping area, one tent is allowed per site. One child's tent may also be placed on that site at no additional cost. When staying on an RV site, one child's tent will be allowed at no extra cost. Any other tent found on an RV site accompanying an RV is charged a base rate fee of $12.00 in addition to the fee for the RV. Managers at individual parks have discretionary allowance with regards to the number of tents per site for organized groups in tent camping and primitive areas.

We used to stay over at Cowboy.. Last year we did the south camp ground by the ranger station.. I prefer the south campground since it has concrete pads for the hauler. Cowboy has gravel sites and has the observation deck..

Both the "North" (Cowboy and Buttercup) and South campgrounds are almost right on the dunes - like 2 minutes from farthest campsite to the gate (each site has it's own gate) on campground pavement, then about 2 minutes from the gate on dirt/washboard trail to dunes.

I'm planning for this trip and Rampage a month later. Looks like a good spring.

I checked those appear to be open lol. going to book a sit tonight next to one of those, dates we plan for is march 26-30 nights there. Wed-Sat nights camping, and the cowboy lot has electric camp sites for 20 per night.

Ya temps will make this ride. Also, the 50ft pull through lots look large enough to support another one or two tents worth of people if anyone is interested. The rangers will charge us an additional 12$ per sleeping unit (tent) per night. So if you want to be in the cowboy camp lot but don't want to pay 20$ per night for your own spot it's an option.

Last year Mrs. Outlaw and I came to all of the events with our 3 wheelers :) Connie's unit was slightly Modified (250SX) , while Mine was a completely Stock unit that had never been touched other than What needed to be done (Axle Bearings and the such) and I mean Not had the cylinder or anything off ;) This year will be different as I have quite a bit of modified equipment :drool: I put an engine together for the coke syrup I just raced :crazy: I set that unit up to stock and rode it on the ice last weekend :D 187152 I will be bringing that unit to this ride :Bounce Stock bottom , Nacs top end, 39 PWK , Bills pipe , stock axle and 14/39 gearing :naughty: What are you bringing :wondering

I CANT WAIT! I will probably burn 10 gallons of race gas and another 10 gallons of 93 octane. going to be a blast

ya we got 4 weeks left, i thought that would be plenty of time to get it back by but probably should have mentioned it! sorry about that! I dont know about the petcock, tank probably hasnt had fuel in it since Sandpupi had it. Phil may need an extra fuel cap if you have any to sell.

It has a 188448 on Back with Little Sahara ,OK above and Spring Ride 2014 below. On front is 188449 where the pocket would be with 2014 below it and 188450 across the front with Both website addresses printed under that. These are Gildan Unisex adult and plus sizes are a bit more. We need to know how much interest there is before we go any further :wondering Also Is there any interest in some organized events, like Dune jumping, Perimeter rides, Night rides, Bowl runs, Drag races? There will be family friendly as well as not so family friendly events. We will be there for 5 days. This is all up to you folks , so I need your input? I am only out my time . We need to know about the shirts just a rough figure of how many want them :D

Mrs. Outlaw #24 and I designed and submitted a proposal for shirts and received confirmation back today They would cost $30 if we order 1 shirt and if we order 48 they are about $20 each? It has a 188448 on Back with Little Sahara ,OK above and Spring Ride 2014 below. On front is 188449 where the pocket would be with 2014 below it and 188450 across the front with Both website addresses printed under that. These are Gildan Unisex adult and plus sizes are a bit more. We need to know how much interest there is before we go any further :wondering Also Is there any interest in some organized events, like Dune jumping, Perimeter rides, Night rides, Bowl runs, Drag races? There will be family friendly as well as not so family friendly events. We will be there for 5 days. This is all up to you folks , so I need your input? I am only out my time . We need to know about the shirts just a rough figure of how many want them :D

8 Days to go before we head south:w00t: Got the hauler done Sunday :) Well I have to repack the wheel bearings for the year though :( I was trying to figure a way to bring an extra unit but I will wait til Rampage :rolleyes: Ok Here is what I have left to do, Take the Stock engine and Swap it for a freshy (about 4 hours tops) :wondering Change fluids in Connie's 250SX (1.5 hours) :wondering Switch to paddles Next Sunday (about10 minutes) :rolleyes: Load up (2 hours). It is all the other stuff like planning meals, and making sure everything is taken care of at home, Gathering things up that takes time :( Keith isn't you boy on Spring break? I hear ya. I'm really pumped about this ride for some reason.

I'll be there early afternoon Thursday unless I can sneak out of work early on Wednesday. I don't want to get there too late because it takes an hour to unload the van since I pack it like a clown car. I have to unpack it so I have a place to sleep.

Although, if I can get out of work by 2 on Weds that might work. Hmm....

The 350X is already in the van - but that's only because I didn't take it out after the last local ride.
Bringing the 250R, too. I like to have at least 2 so I have a backup. Would piss me off to drive 8 hours and have one crap out and leave me with nothing to ride.
The TRX70 might be done - it's coming down to the wire. Just a stocker. Needs a couple of parts that are in transit. The only show stopper is a chain roller. Might try to source that locally.

The big trikes need nothing.

ok im in desperate need of a 350x or 250r front axle. I would prefer to find one prior to this ride but worst case scenario I will take one that someone brings to the ride. Just got back into STL from Dallas, was there since saturday night when my inverts arrived just in time to leave for the airport. Tonight after work I plan to install the smartcarb and start final assembly of the 500. the clock is ticking!!!!!

I was going to bring my short tracker but it is just that, Short tracker Not enough fuel Capacity. Problem is, the Stocker is SO tired I need to freshen. I pulled it out and pulled the engine out of the Short tracker and pulled the head off of it and it had so much slop that you can measure it in inches like 32nd or 64ths, SLOP! I just finished and engine with the long rod and ported and all that stuff. So tomorrow, I will install it and hook it all up and see if it runs. It is fresh but I have never ran this engine. I will keep you posted.

So I had this other engine I had ready , New Crank (88 rod) new top end figured ok I'll run it . Put it in the frame hooked it all up put the good fuel in her and she started right up and shook so bad . Figured The counter balancer was off one tooth. Opened her up this morning , Not the timing. Figured the tooth was off on the main gear so I had to take the clutch and all apart. Turns Out , the Crank shaft gear side was to small and letting both gears move. Called Weisco and they will stand by it! So I stuck Old faithful in the frame ,88250R fast trax porting ,(My original racer). I had to build a wiring harness and got to put the carb, pipe, fluids and start it up. I still have the stocker sitting there. The piston In the photo above was a little smaller than it should have been > .25 mm . They say they run the best when they are loose. I was Kickin butt in the Barn with it? I still have the original top end for that one also!

I got Faithful installed and rode it around our property (Fastly), I think I can work with it. Check out the rear axle bearings today, Service the 250SX and repack the axle bearings on the trailer. Gather our stuff and get our camping gear ready and we'll be ready. It is supposed to Snow at least an inch tomorrow! We are going to be so glad to get away!

Would any of you guys coming to OK for the ride either next weekend or in May be interested in a Snapon portable toolbox? This is a 500.00 toolbox I'd let go for 200.00. See the pic. Its never been used. If you're interested, let me know and I'll throw it in the truck and bring it with me. I have the blank foam inserts for the drawers to foam in the tools. I also have a Mil Spec plastic container to get rid of. Its got latches and is water tight. 100.00 for that. It would be great for your ride gear.

We got here at about 1030 last night and got to bed about 2:30 or so. JB 2 wheels got here about 2 hour after we did. Jason and ATC Eric were here as were more of the Missouri Contingent 400X , Taper190 as well as others it was blowing bad :( Cold in the morning but warms up nicely:p OK we went out this AM and all had a great time Except My Engine decided it didn't like me :cry: so I switched back to the original stock unit and Connie , I and JB went for a ride over to the south Camp and Everything seemed alright:D WE all went for a jaunt this afternoon that is after The Halls with The Raffanater showed up as well as others :rolleyes: we all were doing some dunes together :Bounce Man it was way cool:) Tomorrow looks even better and all the rest should start rolling in about noon. Well the 500 is missing a thrust washer in the tranny and locks up the tires in 1st randomly. So it's parked for the trip. Thursday night Kyle and I went for a night ride that took us to south camp and back and we rode till 3am making us the only people out there lol. When I kicked my 310 over to come back from south camp I noticed the motor had like half the compression it should. Turned out the filter came off and the motor sucked sand all day. Pulled the top end and the rings are toast. So for now both my bikes are parked lol, gonna check the local shops for rings or pistons tomorrow

Garret and I made it home to deal with the horse. Had a super ride this morning with him and he was smiling like a Rock Star. He is fired up to get his X running and come to Rampage. We had 50 trikes in the group photo. It was great meeting everyone.

I'm home safe and sound. For an off the cuff ride, we really had a great turnout. The annual Ok ride tends to attract the same group of triker mainly due to geographic proximity but this ride gave me a chance to meet a bunch of trikers I've only ever met on the boards and FB who normally wouldn't have made it out to ride the OK dunes so I now have a bunch more faces to put with names. It was great meeting all the new faces and its always great to see my old friends. I took not a single pic this trip but post up your pics if you did.

Connie and I stopped on the way home and thought after down loading and viewing our Data that it was only appropriate to wish the Happiest of Birthdays to Ellie one of our youngest members 190254 That should be a birthday to remember 190255:Bounce 190256 Complete with Cake and not just any Cake 190257 :drool: This wasn't just any party either Ellie had to start out at the piñata until it wore her out 190258 Then she had little sister work on it 190259 But she couldn't quite handle it so Ellie sicked her Brother on it :rolleyes: 190260 He did it 190261 :lol: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLIE :D

This is a pic I took with my phone Sunday morning when I finally got Garret on the Honda. Just a lucky shot as you all know you cannot see what your shooting until you get back to camp. I think that is a smile on his face. 190266I called this picture SPRING FLING which seemed appropriate. Again we had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting all the new people.

great to meet all the new people! Outlaw, FlyingW, Steve Man, too freaking many people to remember right now in the daze im in from 4 hours of sleep after getting home at 2am lol. Im exhausted but I did have a great time despite the issues with both bikes. Hope everyone else had a blast, I didnt shoot any pics or vids like I planned so i hope plenty of you guys took it upon yourselves!

Oklahoma Rampage is at the Same Park at the South Camp May 3rd and 4th and We Hope to See as Many 3 Wheelers there as we can get!

We put them back in the bag (Arkansas tumble weed) and stuck them in the tool box on the 4 wheeler. That high wind Saturday night smoothed up the dunes so the riding was fantastic Sunday morning :)

I can assure you that I didn't see one triker drinking a beer outside of the campground. It is a shame that we all get lumped in together. We packed out all of our water bottles while riding.

Lol, no I didn't either. A friend of mine driving around on his Rhino last year had beer on the dunes and got checked by the Ranger and paid a monster ticket. It was like $400 or something like that. I not so sure that they weren't in that plastic bag and fell out of the buggy, Razor, quad or what ever.
