Hey all, I just found a Honda three wheeler for sale about 150 miles away from me, I'm going to snag it up this weekend maybe. I'm just curious as the what year and model it is, the owner said he didn't really know. I believe it's a 1982 200 Big Red?

As comparing it to this one:

The guy wants $200, and he said the only thing that's wrong with it is that the gas tank leaks, so I hopped right on it!

82 200 Big Red had front suspension, dual range and electric start..so more than likely plain Jane 82 ATC200 since it has none of that. The later is what you have in the picture BTW.

Decent enough deal though..

worth 200 all day long, IMO

...and into the night! Agree - good deal if it runs.

Thanks for the input, haha, and yeah I know it's a pretty great deal. He had it listed as $250 and he said that he just wanted rid of it ASAP so he'd give it to me for $200.

Decent enough plain jane 200 by the looks of it. Tank leaking could be a pinholed and rotted tank though, but will have to get and find out. Worst case you can put a different tank on it or, shrugs at the thought, coat the inside of the current tank. I hate coated tanks but guys on here have had good luck with some products.

Definitely worth $200 though, thats an easy $300-$400 where i live.

Yeah, I was thinking about welding some metal onto the tank depending upon where the hole(s) are and how big they are. I looked on eBay for gas tanks and you can get a plastic one for roughly $100.

I have a tank that I would sell if you need one.

Is it the original tank or is it a plastic one?

I'm not certain but I think the rack is at least from a 185. Every 200 I've seen the rack is over the rear fenders not behind it. Could be the pictures screwing with my eyes too. Never know haha

I have had quite a few of them brazed by a local radiator shop, if you got a good old school rad shop around hit them up. Most of those guys can leak test and patch em up faster then you take it off and haul it to them.

yes ,,, take the tank to a radiator shop . Let them patch it up and coat the inside . Cost me 100 bucks in the worst case , and you have a oem tank that you can put decals on .

Its an original tank.

No radiator shops around here, if I were to patch it, I'd do it myself, but I'll most likely buy a new tank for it.
If I get the bike and can't do anything with the tank, I'll be sure to take you up on that offer.
