350R on a 350X

Has anyone tried to retrofit the headlight from an xr 350/500 onto our 350x,s? The light on my x is destroyed, and Im looking for a good lookin substitute. I like the light on the TPC trikes, but I cant get ahold of them to get an answer on it.

The XR forks are closer together, but I'm not sure how close. The rubber straps are fairly forgiving, but I'm not sure if they can stretch that far. I would post in the bike forum and do some digging. The 350X headlight has to be stretched a bit to get onto my 87 200X, but again, it isn't much.

Find a way to have someone measure the KR/XL housing or hope someone helps you with this topic.

I don't blame you for looking for another 350X headlight as they are rising in value daily. Thats why I bought as many as I could a few years back and Jeswhinehart makes some excellent rubber straps from a mold. He made quite a few things VERY well!!

Doesn't someone on the board make reproduction shells? Not sure where to find glass though other than ebay.
