Any information on this beast? I just saw this, and it immediately caught my attention...never seen anything like it before. I'd really like some specs on it if anyone could provide anything. Google gives me nothing at all. The front suspension really threw me...coil springs??? From what I gather, the stock engine on this produced 60-65hp and almost equal torque. This thing isn't stock im guessing..

I'm thinking that there is nothing "stock" about that trike...possibly they are just saying the stock ktm500 power numbers....
The front suspension is called a leading link. It its much more popular in Europe than it is here. Atc's use coil springs too, they're just on the inside. Those are coilover shocks. Leading links can be beneficial for trikes because when the link pivots it moves at much more parallel angle to the ground, thereby having little to no affect on trail as it cycles. Also a leading link does a better job of separating braking and steering force making it a better handling trike in most cases.
Thanks for sharing, very cool trike!

That's what I meant when I said stock, for whatever it came off of before modification.
That's interesting about the front suspension. It makes sense though actually.
No problem, saw it and wanted to find out some info. Maybe Billy will put it on the homepage, never seen it there before.

I was thinking the front wheel assembly looked like an X with some 250R parts in there. Everything looks changed on it. Very cool. Would love to see that pic.
I really like the inverts on the R in the top left picture too

didn't know ktm made a trike lol
I think that they only used the ktm 500 motor, unless I read the insert on the pic wrong

Actually, KTM did make a couple different trikes according to some old 3WW photos I found recently, they look exclusively race models, and theirs only about 3 photos, each of them being different IIRC.

I would say the description is accurate. Phillips ATV in England.
They did some crazy stuff, pretty much 250R geometry ATVs with euro power plants and components.
Heres a link to one. There is a 550 KTM powered Phillips Quad that has been floating around Craigslist for
a while as well. http://forums.everything2stroke.com/threads/46791-Phillips-Super-Quad
Never knew they did anything with 3 wheels. So thats really cool. HH

There are a few guys on here that would know for sure, but I think what you may have seen were built by Franks. I also seem to recall reading that there were KTM engines used in some of the smaller Tigers.

Phillips build aftermarket atv frames in the UK lots based on trx250r's and the front end is similar to a greeves or sidecar motocross bike set-up.

Lots of repeat info here. We can see by the pic that its a Phillips built bike. It clearly states that they are in the u.k.. Kevin Phillips is the rider. The front end is a leading link, popular in europe. Its a KTM500 engine. OK got all that for sure, now, does anyone have any first hand info on the machine or its components?

These were the three, but I'm not sure.

This is what I am looking for as well. I'd like to know what frame was used, if it's indeed a converted bike, what swingarm system they used etc etc. I'd love a ton of info.

They do kinda look Yamaha-ish, that's for sure, but they do have some defining characteristics that are different from that rest, at least from what I've noticed.

Here's some Husqvarna 250cc air cooled trikes. Not many photos of these either. Not sure what the white one is.
