I placed a bid of 550 but its worth alot more, I already have a NOS set on my bike now. I have sold them for 1200 myself but it could go much higher, just depends on how bad they want it, we will see! These are impossible to find anymore, I have seen these pop up on ebay before but only about once every year or two if your lucky enough to see it. The last set I seen listed went for about a grand.

Ya that is alot of $ for a piece of plastic but if I didn't already have a NOS fender I would bid that and more. Call me crazy but nothing has the fit and look of OEM HONDA. I am curious to see how high it goes as well.

Supply and demand!!
I'll just run Maiers because I actually ride and trees or bushes don't bother me.
My trikes are for fun as well as pushing them. Now, if Maier quits, we have a problem

What other parts is Honda getting ready to discontinue ? This seems like a better investment than most mutual funds and a hell of alot more fun ! I remember when you guys were telling me to stock up on 250R OEM fenders. And I didn't ...ugh !!

The only things still available, other than 250r shrouds and fork boots, are used on current models like nuts, bolts, hand grips, ect. All the parts are pretty much extinct on these bikes. As much as guys rag on Maier (myself included sometimes), if they stop making plastics, we're screwed.

Your right bkm, Maier may stop making these plastics someday soon. I think the hand grips are next to go discntinued, Honda has a new grip, I think the only difference is on the end, the hole is bigger where the bar end cap goes, atleast that what he says in this listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Factory-Honda-Oem-Handle-Bar-Grips-350-400-Rancher-400-450-500-Foreman-/151214909178?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23351c66fa&vxp=mtr

I keep telling myself to stock up on shrouds for the R. I have a few sets of fork boots. I should have bought the 86 on/off switch when it was $65 last year.
I took a small step at trying an oem restoration and soon realized my pockets don't go deep enough. Now for me the Maier stuff will suffice.

Ya ,you better get you some shrouds now while supplies last! Also you should go on the hunt for a NOS switch before they go extinct. I like Maier's new red color, nothing wrong with that!

You are most certainly correct my friend.
Sadly, I believe certain people had access to American Honda as well as a nationwide search for rare parts. From kickstarters to headlights to fenders to kill switches and beyond.
I fortunately did place a few 1K$ orders back in 06 for what I felt may break or would be extremely expensive to replace. The crate motors help and I only see upside down forks coming my way.
However, I should have grabbed fenders, mudflaps and other dwindling down products.
Thanks to Tapper, Jeswhinehart, Jason Hall, Kasey sharing his builds and anyone I forgot, I think we'll all manage. We just can't lose MAIER for making ATC fenders because you really can't ride without them. As talent rears it's face, I believe more people will step up to the plate and reproduce even more parts to those that want to remain stock and not ready or necessarily needing a TPC; But, I do love the stuff all of you are doing and lets just move forwards each day.
I myself have been a slouch as the day I got my lathe, a bit later I got hurt in a crash and now I have a hernia to attend to so it's difficult to contribute; But, I will gladly help people over the phone if they want to pick my 75% operational brain........

After that box went for $800 yesterday am,another one was listed for $600 BIN last night. It was on for 23 minutes and sold. I am still AMAZED,literally blown away. At how many thousands of quiet ATC collectors there are. It never ceases to amaze me. This guy is a tick under an hour and a half from me. And I had no clue he existed..

I seen that tool box Vince, never thought it would go for that ,wow and Bill you are right there are a lot more collectors and parts that we think. I notice when I sell a part on ebay , almost immediately someone will list that same part. Don't be surprised if you see another NOS 200X fender pop up.

Keep your eye out on ebay, I have seen dealers post them on ebay saying they were pulled out of the attic of their Honda shop, etc. Sometimes they list them incorrectly, I found mine at a HONDA shop for list price 2 years ago, he said it was on the top shelf, been there for many years. They are out there ,you just have to be lucky enough to find them.

I love OEM plastic, NOS, but I can't ever run them and I'm not an owner of a "show only" machine. That price was (IMHO) was at the low end of the spectrum, but I bet he's happy to have got a good price and imagine what he had originally paid. 150, 170?? smacks.
If ANY of us dingleberries had the sense and the opportunity to see what was happening, you could have spent 10K and turned it into 100K in just a few years. I can't get that type of return on savings at the bank, in a CD or in the stock market. Good for him!!!!
