Time lapse from space station. check it out. well worth watching the entire thing. lot of cool stuff to see: city lights, northern lights and lightning storms from above. not to mention the stars from outside our atmosphere.

Tonight there is an asteroid passing near earth. It does not sound like you will be able to see it from earth, but they are hosting live video stream from the slooh space telescope of the event.

This has all made me realize how little time I spend outside at night looking at the stars during this time of year. has me longing for a july night in U P Michigan on the boat watching shooting stars and feeling like I can reach up and touch the milky way.
