Did a set of rims this weekend for my brother in law that just picked up an '86 atc250r. Rims were silver and he is going for a more original look for color scheme. The gold came out great, very smooth and about as close as it gets to the swingarm color.

that looks nice, i am going for that with my 10" wheels front and rear. I bought a pound of powder from Columbia Coatings, i picked out the Gold Metalic Urethane for mine. it looked the closest to the stock I could find and BKM is planning to coat the wheels. What brand and color did you use?

Did you put a clear coat on them?

No. The clear always looks bad. Milky almost. Jades the actual color even though it's supposed to be "clear"

thats great to hear, i just want the new wheels to maintain the stock factory color scheme but look more updated with 10" wheels.
also, do you use a no-mar wheel/tire place to install tires on your powdercaoted wheels? I do because I worry about regular places scratching the powder coat. Costs 25 bucks per wheel which feels pricey but worth it to know the powder wont get f'd up
