Get on it Lee, you know any long haul truckers that can get these to us for short money?? I know some people out that way, but they all rent appartments!! I need someone out there with a large garage or barn that can store all my westcoast scores untill I can make it out for a pickup!! LOL, Mr. Marlin, I search your craigslist often, and you do have all the good deals, but I dont usually see them as low as you state, maybe 5-7 hundred. 350? No way! Not for clean titled unmolested R's!!

those old 250Rs seem to sit on CL for a long time out here. I have seen some real nice clean ones cheap in the last year but its not something i would want to ride for my daily rip......and not worth shipping out to the snow belt.....lol

aldochina
03-14-2014, 01:41 AM
maybe not to you pauly, but i just think they look bad ass, and would love to have it in the collection! Have fun at the invasion, we will have to catch up soon.

To us they are. My friend has a solo trucking business, but hasn't made it out to Southern Cali yet. When he does I told him to keep enough room for a few
trikes for the trip back.

"Mr. Marlin, I search your craigslist often, and you do have all the good deals, but I dont usually see them as low as you state, maybe 5-7 hundred. 350? No way! Not for clean titled unmolested R's"

I am not kidding. The last 1st gen I got was Free!. I rode it for a year then tried to sell it for $350 and didn't even get 1 call in 3 weeks. We are talkin full bassani exhaust, aftermarket swinger, works shock and a built motor. So I parted it out and every part went to Canada, mid west or east coast. Not 1 part to California.

I just bought a running, complete '85 250R for $700.

If it is not a 3rd gen 250r, 350x or a atc 70, it's just not worth much here. I was being factfull in my post. If you are willing to pay $700 for a first gen 250r and can find some way to ship them, let me know. I will be more than happy to double my money and sell them to you.

aldochina
03-14-2014, 11:33 AM
usually when selling to members on this site we dont look to double our money, but rather help a fellow enthusiast out with maybe a slight profit! ;) Imagine what they will look like after a month once some young buck with a few hundred wants something to hammer on! How much space you have in your garage? LOL!! probably not much judging by your sig!!

You never see 81-82R's out this way for sale. Never! A few 83-84's, plenty of late models. Just such an old school appeal for me those 81-82's. It was such a big jump from anything that was currently on the market!

BOB MARLIN

My garage is actually 3750 square feet. With two 14 foot roll ups. I still have plenty of room.
I just wanted to make the point that the air cooled R's are pretty darn cheap out here. I wasn't streching the truth, I was being honest. Its hard to tell from craigs list adds what they are realy going for. And I find that alot of times the picture in the add is years old and the condition of the trike is not any where near what it says. I come across the air R's quite a bit. They just don't sell for much out here.

aldochina
03-17-2014, 10:05 AM
well now I know who has room to store some toys for me out there lol!! I would be in big trouble with al that storage space!! Iknow your not stretching nothin Mr. marlin, I'm ultimately just jelous!!
