1972 Olympic, good track, supposedly runs good, needs a gas tank. I've been looking for a vintage sled and this looks complete. He wants $650.00 Going to a vintage sled show tomorrow and am thinking of swinging by to look at this machine, maybe offer him $500. BTW my friend has a tank already:naughty:

My vote is.... YES!!!!!!
But I'm a sucker for old vintage ski-doo's :) My father has a 1970 Olympic, he's owned it since new and was just out riding it the other day! He even has the caboose for it, although he doesn't hook it up anymore... the old girl is a little too old to be towing anymore. I think I might hook the skiboose up to my indy 600 this year though to haul sap from the bush.
If you end up buying it you better take some video! He's a vid of my father's:

I'd try to get one of those SRV's off him :).. Those Doos handle like a wounded turtle you know? Carb would usually need rebuilt,,but looks like he's running it? I was just never a fan. I'd look for a Cat if that is the vintage you're after. JMHO :))

That's the problem guys, I don't know anything about these old beasts. I've been told by the boss that there is no extra cash right now. I guess that's my deciding factor. Oh well riding in a vintage snowmobile rally tomorrow on an old Elan, should be fun!
