ive been looking around for a top end rebuild kit, in case i would have to rebuild my atc 70 motor due to it not wanting to start, and it only having 120psi of compression

ran across this top end kit.

thought it looked good until i saw the cylinder mounting holes. are these holes correct, or is it seriously that screwed up. when looking at the picture of the bottom of the cylinder. you see the top left mounting hole looks like it was partially drilled, then adjusted and redrilled? bottom left hole looks like it was too close and ate into the sleeve area? it just doesnt look square to me, is this correct? i wouldnt know as i havent tore the top end off my bike yet. but to me it honestly looks like it was screwed up. i dont wanna spend that kind of coin, just to find out its a cobbled together kit

That appears to be correct. On another note I bought a cylinder/piston/gasket kit two years ago without the head out of New York for $69.00 to my door in Canada. Still works great today. I'll try to find some info on it. I had the link in the 70 section over at .org but..........

At the bottom of the cylinder that partially drilled hole is for the oil passage way. If you look at the engin case you will see an oriface and the partially drilled hole will allow oil from the oriface and will transfer to the head bolt and run up the cylinder to the head, cam plate. That is also why you will see o rings, that is the oil return.
