Hey guys, great site. LOTS of info on here. Alright, well after about 20 years out of the 3 wheeler world i picked up a mint 86 200x. Only problem is it needs a rear axle. Ive read and tracked down a few 83-84 250r axles, only problem is i need yalls expertise in tracking down the other parts i need or part #'s. Mainly for the dust seal on the sprocket side. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
The dust seals and bearings are the same on both sides and are available from Honda. Contact your local shop with the follwing numbers...

Honda bearings are a lil expensive, so if you just search for a 6007 bearing with double seals you'll be fine.

So all I need is 2 of the above bearings and seals and a 83-84 250R axle and it'll bolt in?? I read about grinding on the carrier??

Ttt. I'm stumped. Just wanna get this right before I start ordering parts. Thanks.
I'm not sure if any other ATC axles swap over. Thats why I didnt respond, hoping that someone would chime in.

bikebandit.com search OEM parts by year and model I've bought like 500$ of parts from them they always upgrade my shipping now. But their detailed diagrams show exact parts, seals, O-rings, carriers etc. I just did rear axle on a 350X. if they have a bad picture or u cant see the # go to motosportworld.com they often have the same diagrams but I wouldn't order from them may be a tad cheaper but shipping takes WEEKS and they allow u to order discontinued parts charge u for them then refund u..... huge pain. And as far as take down and putting back together... download one of these bad boys I work on 350X's often so I built a binder off these manuals. http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

Don't give up in the early 250r axles. I KNOW I have read here that there is an axle that swaps over but I can't remember the details.
If I can dig some more info up I will post a link here.....

I am finding some info.... But I'm not sure if you are able to view threads in Trikesylvania or not..

This thread has some definitive answers: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/99539-What-axles-will-work-with-a-86-200x?highlight=86+200x+axle+swap
Another good one: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/89943-85-amp-86-200X-parts-interchange?highlight=86+200x+axle+swap

I think if you go over the threads I linked you, you should be able to figure out what is needed.
Personally, I like my trikes WIDE... I would be leaning heavily toward the 83-84 250r axle if it were me...

There is a member on here OlDeuce he is building a super x 86 200x frame with trx 200sx motor. He is useing a 83-84 250r axle in the 86 200x swingarm and he said in a build thread on another site of the same trike that it bolts right in and is centered. But you have to grind a little bit from the bearing carrier to clear the sprocket bolts.189973
