200M - Headlight works fine, high and low beams, but it rattles around like a methhead when im riding. I was thinking of straying from the stock traditional look and going with something like a big round offroad light with a guard on it. make the bike look all mad maxxy.
My question is when im looking at other light options, what numbers do I need to pay attention to? I dont need HID or anything crazy as it probably wont even be on very often. Do i need to stay under a certain wattage?
i dont care about high/low beam, but would be nice if i can find an offroad light that has this option
i searched all of google to get images of this possibility but couldnt find any, would it look retarded?

You will need to pay attention to the wattage. Higher wattage lights draw more amps. You don't want to exceed you charging system capacity. A good option would be LED off road lights or LED head light conversion but they can be pricey.

The lights in your photo take halogen bulbs that are likely 50 watts each -- minimum. That's too much for the charging systems on our trikes. But you could go on ebay and get a set of LED H3 replacement bulbs for about $10 delivered -- they'll be in the 3-10 watt range. The light output will be nowhere near as good as the original halogens, but they draw almost no power, and will likely be adequate for your needs.

I run HIDs in my 250sx and 250es. The ones I have are dualed with a built in halogen bulb also. So my dim is a halogen and my bright is an HID. I like the backup. Gives off plenty of light and if you research (the forum or google) The initial startup for an HID is around 10-15a and then after startup is around 2-3a running which is similar to an LED. I ran an LED replacement headlight in my 250es but also had to run larger LED spotlights to get the amount of light I needed. I attached pics of my setups.
