So this weekend I sold this 73 US90 on Craigslist. It wasn't by any means a museum piece. It ran but definitely needed some carb work and had some leaks. Anyways these people took it home and listed on Craiglist and eBay for $2,500!!! I sold it for $850 lol. I just wanted everyone on the forum to be aware this IS NOT bought from the original owner. I bought from someone that had bought from someone else that raced it I guess and what not. Anyways, long story short, if you are interested in it that is fine by me. That is not why I am putting this on here. I am only putting it on here for everyone to be aware it IS NOT what they say it is. Feel free to submit $1 offers to them lol. Just joking. (well not really, it would be funny).

Yea, some people suck. They can be so dishonest to make a buck it is sickening. I sold a 95 Ski Doo formula Z 583 this past winter. I had the sled for years and really just maintained it and rode it. I bought it from a guy after the 1st owner got rid of it, sled had been sitting since 97. Not a week after I sold it, it was all over the net for way more than I sold it for stating that it was all rebuilt top to bottom with this new and that new in the engine. The idiot had saved all my pics from when I had it for sale and used them in his listing so people were still calling me. I knew the engine was not touched. I called him on his dishonesty, as he had it listed on facebook classifieds, and I saw it.

wow.....yeah I`ve been a victim of "just gone thru the motor and only two hrs run time since", "rebuilt everything", "too much to list more money in it than I`m asking"
while these statements are occasionally true, especially the one about having more $$ in it than the askin price, I have got to where I ignore almost anything the seller says about history or condition and just expect to tear it down to inspect/fix as soon as I get it home. I bring my own tools and compression tester for "running machines" and anything that "needs TLC" gets scheduled for a rebuild....stuff that "ran when parked (in 1988)" I look it as a parts bike and if the price of the machine is lesser than the parts value parted out I assign to it after determining condition, I will buy it...........I quit trusting ANY strangers, three quarters of my own family, and HALF my "friends" a long time ago......CYA

Yes I am not doing this because I am mad. Hey if they think they can get $2500 for a US90 that is not mint, more power to them. The price I sold it for was very fair for the condition. I just don't want to see anyone on the forum buy it based on the sob story they are telling that is not true. I even texted them from another number about it and told them it looked similar to one in Northern Indiana Craigslist and they said they just got it from Southern Indiana but the picture posted is in the parking lot I met them in lol.

Not trying and stir the pot but the rear fender look like it's from a 74 too. You definitely got good cash for that machine. That seller is out to lunch!

You may be 100% correct. I will be honest and say I do not know a whole lot about that bike besides it started, was loud because the exhaust was messed up, and I got good cash from it. I wish I had 10 ebay accounts I would give them $1 offers all day just for lying about it being the original owner and everything lol. But I do get enjoyment knowing there is no way they will sell it for that.

on the flipside.....I won a huge pile of gen 1 ATC200X on ebay that I picked up in Fort Wayne three yrs ago. Paid 315$ for two complete motors, one new Douglas wheel, a PC`d frame, forks, fresh tank paintjob, carbs, PC`d swinger, and enough parts to put together one all but the rear fender/front fender. He had a garage full of pristine machines including a second Gen 200X that he had just bought and it was the nicest one I have EVER seen. He had like 4 or five Honda trikes. Couple of 200Xs, a 250SX, and a 250R IIRC.
It was a helluva drive from bowling Green KY and the seller was a little more than disappointed that I scored it all for the starting bid.
I felt bad for 14 seconds then I happily loaded that stuff into the mazda PU and bolted. best trip to Ft Wayne I ever took (I`m originally from south of indy)

Yes they are in Indy somewhere. I'm in Fort Wayne. They came up here (2 women) and bought it and next day listed it lol. I originally bought this and a ton of other US90 stuff from a kid over in Ohio. The kid in Ohio bought it all from a guy that used to race US90s. I do not know if this one was raced or not but it MOST DEFINITELY is not from the original owner lol.

I'm not sure what these machines are worth, but I may be picking up a 1971 US90 in a couple of weeks. The guy is the original owner and he said it was last running 5 years ago. It does need a full restoration, as you could see from the pictures.
