It been a couple months since I busted a trike out. Too doggone cold and deep. It hasn't really warmed up here since November. The last couple days the sun shined and melted a layer on top, that promptly froze again with the first passing shadow. It is so crisp and smooth, floating on top. Smoothest as it can be on my 125. Went out and just just did a perimeter run on my five acres all in first and second gear, low range. Any bush that is a pain in the ace in the summertime, I stood(rode) on top of today, with the help of my wheeler of course. As my username implies, I would much rather wheel than walk.
It started getting dark and I figured out my headlight didn't still work. I continued to ride and sometimes the 4 or 5 foot drifts would catch me off kilter. That will probably be the closest I come to riding the dunes. This snow that is left is solid, any bump kills my back. I didn't roll or anything, you just gotta see that bump coming. Some places are down to bare ground, others, like drifts are still pretty big. The average snow depth is probably 16- 18 ".
I have 5 acres but I'm in a hilly area and have to be careful when the snow gets like this... I get side hilling too much, I'll be two roads away before I know whats going 'down'.
Well you fine 3-wheeling folks... I hope you were able to ride and I'm jealous of those of you that have suspension. Had to let ya know, I still ride 3. Getting tired of plowing on 4. Tired of snowshoes... shoveling... winter in general. Almost out of firewood too. I'm glad I copy before I submit, because this is my second go.
